Madagascar a vaincu la RDC en huitième de finale de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations de football, 2019, après les tirs aux buts. On ne cesse de faire des éloges sur le coach Nicolas Dupuis, qui, sans conteste, est un véritable Messie pour le football malgache. Madagascar reste, pour sa part invaincu, avec deux matches nuls 2-2, et deux victoires.
Cette huitième de finale aura été l’un des matches les plus difficiles. Personnellement, c’est le seul match où j’avais réellement besoin de voir les Malgaches gagner. C’est parce que quelques footeux congolais s’en prennent bassement aux “Malgachiens”, et pensaient que les Léopards seront ceux qui vont corriger les Barea.
Après la victoire 2-0 de Madagascar face au Nigéria, et la première place du groupe qu’on a obtenue, le Président Andry Rajoelina a salué les joueurs et leur ont promis qu’il viendrait personnellement en Egypte pour les huitièmes. Et l’ancien Député Ministre Guy Rivo Randrianarisoa a proposé sur Facebook que l’Etat devrait faciliter le voyage pour les fans et surtout pas emmener un avion vide ou venir en jet privé. Conseil entendu en haut lieu malgré l’appartenance politique diamétralement opposée. Et le ministre des Sports a pu arranger l’atterrissage d’un avion spécial, de 470 places.
Je reste convaincu que l’affrètement de cet avion spécial a joué un rôle déterminant dans l’issue de ce match, dans l’issue de ces tirs aux buts. Le stade égyptien est clairsemé dans tous les matches où le pays hôte ne joue pas, et 470 personnes en plus, dont son Président de la République et la Première Dame, cela fait une différence. C’est ce qui a déjoué les concentrations des tireurs Congolais. C’est la raison pour laquelle deux tireurs Congolais ont raté le cadre dans cette épreuve fatidique.
Merci au Président Andry Rajoelina et à Guy Rivo Randrianarisoa. Merci aux quelques 420 fortunés Malgaches qui ont fait le déplacement, sans vous, on aurait perdu aux tirs aux buts.
Ce que beaucoup de gens ignorent, c’est que les équipes qualifiées aux quarts de finale recevront une prime de un million de dollar. Les investissements faits par l’Etat pour le football malgache ont donc porté leur fruit et ont été bénéfiques, dont notamment les 170.000 euros demandés par les joueurs que le Président a accordé sans marchandage, le paiement du droit de retransmission de la CAN à la TVM. Au début, j’étais très critique contre ces dépenses mais maintenant que le résultat est là, j’admets avoir complètement tort. La liesse populaire engendrée par ces victoires justifient amplement ces dépenses.
Contre la Tunisie ou le Ghana, les Bareas ont encore une chance de doubler ce gain s’ils se qualifient aux demi-finales mais jusque-là, ils méritent un accueil triomphal une fois cette CAN terminée.
Je demande à l’Université d’Antananarivo de décerner le titre Docteur Honoris Causa au sélectionneur Nicolas Dupuis, nonobstant toute autre distinction que le régime voudra lui décerner.
