J’aime les chansons de Dolly Parton. Dolly est une chanteuse Country, ses musiques parlent aussi beaucoup d’amours. Elle chante aussi des louanges et elle n’a pas honte de s’affirmer chrétienne.
Moi, mon niveau de spiritualité ne m’empêche pas d’apprécier les chansons non évangéliques et m’encourage de préférer les gospels quand ils sont bien chantés. Du coup, j’adore la plupart des tubes de Dolly Parton.
Je ne fais pas trop d’amalgame entre la vie personnelle du chanteur et les chansons qu’il chante. Je suis par exemple un fan de Elton John, et son homosexualité ne me gène pas du tout pour apprécier ses chansons d’amour.
Par contre, les messages véhiculés par les chansons ou leur parole ont une importance pour moi, quand je les connais. Non pas que je censure systématiquement les textes explicites ou faisant allusion à des mauvaises moeurs, mais des censures j’en fais parfois.
Je suis un homophobe, et cette homophobie n’est pas contre les homosexuels mais contre l’homosexualité, et surtout contre le lobbying et toute la propagande qui force l’humanité à la banaliser ou même à l’adorer. De la même manière qu’un acte sexuel inceste mais consentant entre une mère et un fils qu’elle a enfanté répugne certains esprits, l’homosexualité me dégoûte. Je n’ai pas à juger ou à crier scandale pour ce que les gens font en privé, leur vie privée ne regarde qu’eux, mais quand les homosexuels font tout pour étaler en public l’homosexualité, je pense que c’est eux qui ont franchi la barrière en premier.
Pour en revenir à Dolly Parton, sa chanson Jolene est une de mes favorites. Le texte parle d’une fille qui parle à une autre fille, Jolene, pour lui laisser s’aimer avec “son” gars. Jolene étant trop belle et supérieure à tous les points, elle ne peut pas rivaliser, mais elle essaie tout de même de lui faire comprendre que le gars est tout pour elle.
Le chanteur Lil Nas X a fait une reprise de cette chanson, et apparemment, Dolly Parton n’était pas au courant de ce “cover” au début.
L’interprétation est originale, et on se laisserait facilement bercer. Mais dans le contexte, quand c’est un mâle qui chante Jolene, le ton homosexuel est annoncé en couleurs. Je me sentais immédiatement gêné, mes convictions religieuses et homophobes prennent immédiatement le dessus.
Dolly Parton, de son côté, avoue apprécier le cover, déclare son amitié sincère à Lil Nas X et l’encourage.
J’ai recherché sur internet la personnalité de Lil Nas X, et voici ce que j’ai trouvé :
* il est homosexuel et promeut l’homosexualité dans ses oeuvres
* il avait lancé un projet provocateur contre la religion, en vendant des chaussures sataniques (série limitée à 666 paires, vendue à 1018 USD en référence à Luc 10.18, les paires ayant plusieurs signes sataniques comme une croix inversée ou du sang humain dans le process de fabrication …)
* il n’a pas accepté les critiques contre son projet provocateur et se place en victime.
